Here is some background work for a production project I was a part of in a recent semester
Included are the fully colored backgrounds for a futuristic cyberpunk setting as well as lined backgrounds (to be colored by another BG artist) for a old English Victorian setting!
The coordinators of the project came up with the idea to give each time setting (as this project dealt with jumping to multiple periods of time) its own unique aesthetic when it came to the backgrounds.
Our futuristic setting landed on a very vibrant cool blue aesthetic, overwhelming neon lights, and a style lending more into the abstract.
In contrast, our old English Victorian time period I helped create was to have a watercolor like canvas look.
Some more backgrounds from rough layout to final color for another production, there was a emphasis for this project to emulate the look of a comic book.
